Aviation Gasoline is used exclusively in small airplanes that have spark ignited engines. The quality specifications are determined by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP). AVGAS-100 presents properties, performance requirements and differentiated care of the other gasolines. Because it contains lead tetraethyl in its composition, its use is prohibited in automotive vehicles. Throughout the AVGAS-100's handling, transportation and storage process, equipment unique to the product is used and the system is periodically inspected to ensure that it is meticulously clean and free of any possibility of contamination.
